Faux Reals!

Faux Fur Coat, GwynnieBee, SimplyBe, plus size dress

Can you believe it's almost Christmas?!?!?  I am so excited.  I've got some surprises under the tree and I can hardly contain myself.  I have no idea what they are.  My husband snuck them past me some sort of way.  I usually leave overly obvious hints, so I tend to know what my gifts are going to be. It's gonna be fun to see what he comes up with on his own. LOL.  Anyways, in the case that I don't see you before the New Year, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and an even more blessed 2014. Thank you for your continued support, readership, shares, tweets, smoke signals, pins, Instagram likes, anything else you can do on your phone. I love you guys!! #muah

Style Note:  I'm usually scared of purple.  I have an unhealthy fear of looking like Barney.   In all my clothing adventures, it's still that color that gives me an instant flashback of middle school, where kids are cruel and if there was any combination of big and purple, you were getting called Barney.  GwynnieBee helped me conquer my purple fear.  LOL.  The site is awesome for trying stuff you might normally be scared to try.

MakeUp Note:  My "go to" purple is Violetta from MAC.  My sister actually gave it to me and it's really hard to get, because it is from the MAC Pro Store and they don't have a lot.  Per my research, I saw that MAC's Heroine is a close shade.  I lined my lips with Currant by MAC.  My gloss is from MAC as well.  It's a clear shimmery dazzleglass.  It was apart of the Marilyn Monroe collection.   Any shimmery lipgloss will work, in my opinion.

  11. I think I read that MAC is reintroducing Violetta as a regular shade. Also, Covergirl has a lipstick that is a good dupe (I forget the name but if you google Violetta dupe you'll the name). It has a dupe for Rebel too. And if you are browner, you might find that you want to go with a deeper purple or go heavier on the burgundy liner (I've never found a good dupe for MAC Nightmoth...it is my go to for deepening pink, purple, and some red colors that I might think are a little to bright for me (as an alternative to dark brown, which also works but of course changes the color in s different way).
So I have a Dior Lipstick called Mysterious Mauve that looks like this on my dark brown skin...just some food for thought when trying to duplicate makeup colors...factor in your skin tone and undertones to find a match, b/c your way to recreate this look might be with a slightly different color.

Purple is very nice on you...The color that always scared me the most was orange.
