Belts & Friendship Socks

Check out the adventures of Cece (from Plus Size Princess) and I during the Blogher weekend.  I get left with a friendship sock (that I didn't want) and I do a whole video on plus size belts and finding your waist.

  1. how cute are you two. okay so i am short more on the petite side but i am heavy at the top and bottom small ish waist . I like small belts but then they either rise up and my boobs suck them in ( lol im sorry i couldnt think of a better word) and im in pain or the big belts are just like a no no nah....... so this did help me alot but where do i buy belts at? i have this dress that needs a belt and the little belts would be nice but i am guessing the ones i have are small. the dress is so straight up and down and makes my but flat so the belt i wore so changed it but it was so painful i had my hand between it and my waist. help me please.

  2. I struggle mightily with belts! I probably only own 3 or 4 total and they are mostly police or military issue numbers for holding up pants on my pear shaped fanny and no other purpose. LOL I think I have a couple of chain belts from 15 years ago but I probably couldn't put my hand on one if I tried. Belts are definitely on my list of things to explore but I usually find them uncomfortable and "extra." It's also really hard to find real leather belts for larger plus sizes and I am beyond tired of overpriced plastic and elastic. The other reason I find my relationship with the belt a little fraught is because I feel that plus size designers and retailers push them as a compensation for their unwillingness or inability to make tailored clothing for us. So often they sell a belt as a way of creating structure that should be built into the garment or covering up the tacky elastic waistbands they like to stick on random items where they are not warranted. Ah, well... maybe one day I will master the belt too!

  3. What a great video! Cece was WEARING that jumpsuit, a great, versatile look. I LOVE belt but am always on the hunt for good ones. Almost all of my belts are leather except some from Asos - they do a nice job even though many are faux. I still love Talbots - my best belts come from there but lately they haven't had such a great selection in the plus belts. Hope that you all collaborate on some more videos, these 2 were fun to watch!

  6. You and Cece have great chemistry. . I loved the vblogs. I appreciated the belt blog. I have never owned a skinny belt because I felt the 1 or 2 inch belt were better for my frame. I feel as if I may try at least one. Thanks again.
